Son charges Mom for Harassment over Facebook

by vipergtsrz at 12:15 PM Share your /facepalm story

As facebook has become more popuplar than google, it also comes with some side-effects.

According to CBS News, a boy from Arkansas has charged his mom with harassment after she accessed his Facebook account and changed his password because she didn't like the things he was posting on there.

This kind of story is as old as the ages...Mom goes into kids room to "clean" it and "accidentally" finds their private diary. She learns all these things about her child she never knew or wanted to know and they argue about everything, blah blah blah.

I just want to know how awkward it will be for the mom and son to meet in court against each other. What is the son hoping to get our of filing charges against his mom?

Do you think the mom had a right to snoop in her kid's facebook account, or is that off limits?

Dumb Yahoo Answers Question

by vipergtsrz at 03:22 PM Share your /facepalm story
Yahoo Answers Question

I have seen some pretty dumb questions on Yahoo Answers. Some of them are probably trolls, but others seem to be really dumb people who are genuine about the question they are asking, no matter how dumb it sounds. This seems to be one of those questions. Thank you, Internet, for providing access to ANYONE who has a computer.

To see the original question, you can click on the image above. Some of the answers are pretty funny.

Dad gets his comeuppance

by vipergtsrz at 07:32 AM Share your /facepalm story

Some dead-beat dad who hadn't seen his daughter in 10 years looked her up on facebook with the intent of getting her to meet him at an agreed-upon location. The way he was talking to her on facebook, however, gave her the creeps (as it should) so instead of him meeting her there, he was met with a bunch of police officers who arrested him for propositioning his daughter.

I love when people get their comeuppance (I love that word too)

Facebook facepalm

by vipergtsrz at 06:46 PM Share your /facepalm story

There's nothing funnier than hearing about dumb criminals getting caught because of their own stupidity. This 19-year-old guy from Pennsylvania got arrested recently because during a robbery, he actually checked his facebook account on a computer in the person's house he was robbing. What's worse, is that he never logged out of his account, so the police had everything they needed to catch him.

Is this a matter of facebook addiction or just plain stupidity?

United Breaks Guitars

by vipergtsrz at 07:24 AM Share your /facepalm story

It's no secret that I am very against bad customer service in the airline industry (actually any industry). There are countless accounts of how airlines like United and American treat paying customers and most of them make me mad. I came across a funny video on youtube today that tells yet another story about the airlines showing horrible customer service. Check it out...

I'll be the first to say...I hate country music. Don't blame me that it's country...I know...BUT I think this is a great video. It's actually done pretty well from a music video perspective, and I think it does a great job getting the message across.

Taylor guitars can cost anywhere between $1,000-$5,000 so let's just say his was around $3,000 just for an average. I would be willing to bet that it would be MUCH cheaper for United to just pay to replace the guitar than the damage it will do to them through this video. I hope this video gets huge and hurts United's brand more than they could dream of. I also liked this video beacuse it wasn't some angry customer cussing and yelling about anything. It was just a guy who makes music and wants people to know not to fly United because they break guitars.

Good job Dave Carroll
