Bad Driver Facepalm

by vipergtsrz at 01:18 PM Share your /facepalm story

I was driving home today when I saw something suprising (although it really shouldn't be considering how people drive these days). There was a girl driving a car with her right hand holding her cell phone to her ear, her left hand out the window holding a cigarette, and her left foot hanging out of the same window her left hand was out.

So that basically leaves one leg in charge of driving a car and that's it. Considering her mind was preoccupied with talking on the phone and she was killing the remaining brain cells by smoking, we have one leg with no brain driving a car down the road.

I wasn't sure if I should laugh or get angry at what appeared to be the total sum of all the bad drivers on the road in one place, so instead, I decided to take a picture of it.

P.S. The irony is not lost on me in the fact that I am also driving down the road while taking a photo on my phone's camera, but sometimes you have to take risks to be able to post facepalms online for all to see.

Do you have any horror stories of bad drivers? Post them in the comments below.

Robber loses his wallet at crime scene, asks for it back

by vipergtsrz at 10:38 AM Share your /facepalm story

Some guy from Little Rock, AR attempted to rob a woman in her home, and somehow dropped his wallet in the process. Obviously that would seem like the worst mistake a robber could make, but the really dumb thing he did was call the victim and tell her he wanted his wallet back. The victim was being interviewed by the police at the time, so obviously, he was caught when he showed up to get it back.

I'm assuming the robber knew the victim in some way considering he knew the vicitm's phone number.

Reminds me of when the bank robbers called ahead of time before they robbed the bank.

Bank Robbery /facepalm

by vipergtsrz at 12:03 PM Share your /facepalm story

If you were to rob a bank, probably the most important thing you would care about is speed and efficiency. There are many ways to be speedy during a bank robbery, but one thing I would not recommend is calling ahead of time to make sure they have the money ready for you to steal.

These two would-be robbers in Connecticut called the bank ahead of time and told them to have the money ready for them to pick up for the robbery. There's really not too much to say about this one considering it's pretty obvious how dumb these two guys are. I can't believe they actually showed up.

Bank Facepalms

by vipergtsrz at 02:56 PM Share your /facepalm story

With all of the banks in America doing so badly in this recession, you'd think they would try to limit the amount of mistakes they make as to not draw unwanted attention to themselves. Oddly enough, I've come across many stories around the web about banks doing really dumb things.

Just this past Janurary, Citibank sent out around 600,000 envelopes to customers that had their Social Security Numbers printed on the outside of them. They said they were sorry, but tried to make it sound like it wasn't that big of a deal by claiming the SSN wasn't easy to spot because it was part of a larger string of digits.

Bank of America has been trying to one up Citibank by possessing homes that aren't even theirs to begin with. Sure, any company can make an honest mistake, but what should be done when it keeps happening over and over? It seems like BofA has a tendancy to just foreclose random houses. The worst part of this whole thing is that BofA keeps on claiming it isn't their fault when it happens.

I wouldn't doubt it if BofA had their hand in demolishing the wrong house.

Back in jail again over a $3.37 beer

by Admin at 01:56 PM Share your /facepalm story

This 19-year-old guy from Quebec got thrown back in jail for 60 days after stealing a $3.37 beer from a local store. The /facepalm in the story is that he was stealing the beer to celebrate getting out of jail that day. Why was he in jail, you ask? He was convicted of petty theft several times before this and was sentenced to 8 months prior to this event.

What I don't get is that the courts wanted to give him the lightest sentance they could, which was 60 days. If the guy just spent 8 months in jail and the first thing he does when he gets out is go and steal a beer, I don't think he learned his lesson. I'd lock him up for a couple years and see if he understands then.
