This 19-year-old guy from Quebec got thrown back in jail for 60 days after stealing a $3.37 beer from a local store. The /facepalm in the story is that he was stealing the beer to celebrate getting out of jail that day. Why was he in jail, you ask? He was convicted of petty theft several times before this and was sentenced to 8 months prior to this event.

What I don't get is that the courts wanted to give him the lightest sentance they could, which was 60 days. If the guy just spent 8 months in jail and the first thing he does when he gets out is go and steal a beer, I don't think he learned his lesson. I'd lock him up for a couple years and see if he understands then.

According to the NY Post a burglar got caught by posting what he stole on Craig's List.

The victim had his tires and rims stolen from his car that was parked on the street overnight. Even though he was obviously bummed about it, he had to get new wheels. He went to Craig's List to find replacements and saw his wheels being sold by the guy who stole them.

He contacted the "seller" and the police and had everyone meet at the same location. He got his wheels back and the thief is now in jail.

It's not usual to get things back that are stolen like that, so this is a pretty sweet story. I love when the bad guy gets his comeuppance.

A man called the police because he didn't get what he paid for when he tried to hire a prostitute. He says that he paid two people to have sex with him, but they did not "deliver as advertised".

Maybe it isn't clear enough to some people that prostitution is illegal. Maybe he should have called the Better Business Bureau instead.

A german man visiting New Zealand was trying to smuggle geckos out of the country to sell them on the black market in Europe. He had 24 live geckos stuffed in his underwear along with 20 skins.

The value of the live geckos was around $50,000 on the black market in Europe. They didn't know how much the skins would go for.

I don't know about you, but I don't think I'd be putting any live animal in my drawers no matter what I was trying to do. I wonder how long a gecko could stay alive while stuffed into a guy's trousers anyway. My bet is they'd all be dead by the end of the flight. I know one thing...If I were a gecko that was stuffed in there, I'd be trying to bite my way out.
