Dumb Yahoo Answers Question

by vipergtsrz at 03:22 PM Share your /facepalm story
Yahoo Answers Question

I have seen some pretty dumb questions on Yahoo Answers. Some of them are probably trolls, but others seem to be really dumb people who are genuine about the question they are asking, no matter how dumb it sounds. This seems to be one of those questions. Thank you, Internet, for providing access to ANYONE who has a computer.

To see the original question, you can click on the image above. Some of the answers are pretty funny.

Cyber-criminal Left In Charge of Prison Computer Network

by ska5fe at 04:33 PM Share your /facepalm story

From Slashdot:

Cyber-criminal Left In Charge of Prison Computer Network

An official in a prison in England decided it would a smashing idea to let a criminal (locked up for stealing money through the Internet) set up a TV system in the prison.  To quote the article, "He was left unguarded with unfettered access to the system".  The result?  He didn't shut down the entire system and leave a trail of passwords that took a specialist company to figure out.  Just kidding.  That's exactly what he did.

If Stephen Hawking were British...

by vipergtsrz at 10:23 PM Share your /facepalm story
Stephen Hawking

"If Stephen Hawking were British, he would be dead" says Investor's Business Daily trying to discredit Obama's plan for nationalized health care.

Little did they know that Stephen Hawking is, in fact, British and alive. There's just no more room these days for investigative journalism is there?

"I swear no one will see this picture baby..."

by lester at 09:35 PM Share your /facepalm story

"... now let me just post it on the Internet where it will be safe from all those prying eyes."

Let's review this story:

Step 1:  Take family picture.

Step 2:  Put family picture on Christmas cards, a "few" social networking sites, and your mommy blog.

Step 3:  Be surprised when it appears somewhere else.

Step 4:  Profit?

If you don't want something getting out into public knowledge and use, don't post it on the Internet.  In case you haven't guessed, my name isn't Lester.

At least a big, something gross wasn't Photoshopped in it... yet.
