I'm not sure who's more at fault here, the cops or the woman. I think the cops are the ones that are to blame for this /facepalm. I mean, the woman is twice the legal limit and she's obviously not able to make wise decisions. A couple questions cross my mind as to how this happened.
1. How did she get back into her car after she was let go on bond? I thought they impounded the person's car. Was it just sitting outside with the keys in it and the door open waiting for her to get back in and drive away? Maybe they thought "Hey, if we take her license away and suspend her for 24 hours from driving, there would be no way she should physically get in the same car she came here with and drive away".
2. Wouldn't at least one of the cops stay with her until she got into the car of another person coming to pick her up? I mean seriously, it's 1am on Saturday morning. What else do they have better to do?
The funny thing is how the media in the news story try to play it like it was the woman's fault. I personally don't think she should get arrested twice for the same crime considering the police didn't do their job very well in keeping her off the street.
