This is one of the biggest /facepalms I've seen in a while. It turns out that some demolition company was given GPS coords to go demo a house in Carroll County, GA. According to the article, the crew had been out to that same house a month earlier to prepare for demo.

The man who owned the house said the demo was probably meant for the house accross the street. The demo company was not given an address. Only GPS coords. I can't believe something this insane could actually happen. You'd think that the demo company would try to contact the owner of the house and see if it was okay with him BEFORE actually destroying it.

This is one of those kinds of things that you just can't repay. The owner had a bunch of old family heirlooms in that house and it meant a lot more to him than money could buy. I can totally understand, although a few hundred million dollars would go a long way in helping me forget :)
