This woman from Joliet, IL went to a gas station to fill up a gas can one night. As she was filling the can up, which she placed on the passenger seat, she needed more light to see how full the can was. In her infinite wisdom, she grabbed a cigarette lighter, and lit it right next to the can to shine more light on it. To her surprise, the gas ignited and quickly spread to the car's interior.

Afraid, the woman thought that the car's fire would spread to the pump and blow the entire station up, so while the car was burning, she started pushing the car away from the pump to "save the day".

If my car were on fire, I don't think I would take the time to put the car into neutral and start pushing it to save the pump. Then again, I don't think I'd put a gas can on my car seat while I filled it or use a lighter to see how full it was.
